HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

ESTIMATOR

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for bids and proposals. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve any potential issues. Evaluate a project’s financial, technical, and operational risks to determine the overall feasibility and potential cost impact. Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and services. Prepare detailed cost analysis and work closely with project managers and construction teams during initial project planning and bidding processes. Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Conduct site visits and participate in pre-construction meetings to ensure accuracy of estimates and understanding of project scope. Coordinate with the management team to provide continuous improvement of estimating processes. Review material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience. Proven experience as an Estimator or relevant role within construction, with a focus on concrete-related projects being highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and a solid mathematical aptitude. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to deal with clients and team members. High level of proficiency with estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Capable of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple bids simultaneously with accuracy. Must be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong organizational skills.

Project Manager

Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution: Plan and oversee the execution of all phases of our concrete construction projects, ensuring they meet established specifications, budgets, and timelines.

Team Leadership and Development: Manage and lead project teams, including site managers, contractors, and subcontractors. Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Client and Stakeholder

Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing timely updates and ensuring all parties are aligned with project goals.

Quality Control: Ensure that all projects adhere to the highest standards of quality, are compliant with safety regulations, and meet customer expectations. Budget

Management: Develop and manage project budgets, perform cost estimations, and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.

Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the project lifecycle, applying innovative solutions and adjustments as necessary.

Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms that support project success and profitability.

Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety policies and regulations among all project personnel and on all project sites.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the concrete construction industry, with a proven track record of managing both residential and commercial projects.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and negotiate with clients, teams, and vendors effectively. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles specific to concrete construction. Proficient in project management software and tools. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.

CONCRETE LABORER

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up and preparing the construction sites by clearing debris, setting braces, and positioning forms. Mix, pour, and spread concrete efficiently under the direction of the foreman or lead contractor. Utilize tools such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and other instruments to smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete. Implement proper curing techniques to ensure the hardness and durability of the concrete. Read and interpret blueprints or project specifications to align closely with client expectations and project requirements. Follow safety guidelines and regulations diligently to maintain a secure workplace. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors on project progress and any potential issues. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and functional for optimal use in projects.

Qualifications:
Prior experience in concrete construction or related fields is preferred but not required. Strong physical condition and stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks throughout the workday. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Capable of understanding and executing verbal and written instructions. Strong team player with a solid work ethic and reliable attendance. High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This position involves heavy lifting, extensive walking, and standing for long periods. The job typically occurs in an outdoor construction setting with exposure to the elements. Personal protective equipment is provided and required to be used on the job site to prevent injuries.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and concrete mixers in accordance with safety protocols. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal operation. Read and interpret site plans and construction documents to determine job specifications and requirements. Communicate effectively with the project team to coordinate tasks and ensure the smooth progression of work. Assist in the preparation of job sites, including excavation, leveling, and material handling. Detect and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team promptly. Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and regulations, and actively contribute to creating a safe working environment. Assist in measuring, mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete as per project requirements. Work closely with laborers and other construction staff to complete projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction industry, with specific experience in concrete-related projects preferred. Proficiency in operating various types of construction heavy machinery. Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations in construction. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Valid heavy equipment operation certification or license.
Physically fit and capable of performing in a demanding environment. High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in construction or heavy equipment operation is a plus.
